The Venom peg uses a two-piece steel/plastic design based on the ‘classic sleeve’ system. Our aim was to create a plastic sleeve peg with a diameter similar to a standard steel peg. This lead us down the route of a steel/plastic design with a slim crmo inner peg wrapped in a generous thickness of our specially developed hardwearing nylon-fiberglass compound. The Alpha Elbow pad uses a breathable perforated neoprene with an internal soft air plush lining, and the front impact area uses a tougher Duratex neoprene. The back side of the pad uses a double layer of soft Lycra for a snug and comfortable fit. To protect your elbow from impact we use EVA foam under nylon hard cap. This year we also added an internal Sharkskin neoprene gripper to keep the pad firmly in place.

The VX2 front hub is a high quality, sealed front hub with a super strong 15mm SUJ-2 steel inner axle, that is stronger than chromoly. The new Fit Indent 24mm cranks are made from 4130 chromoly and feature fits new oversized 24mm hollow spindle which helps to increase stiffness and to prevent the spindle from twisting. These cranks also feature fits concaved crank arms which increases the arms strength and make them more dent resistant. The cranks are RHD/LHD compatible and also includes the 24mm Mid BB Kit. The Mirage Tire might just be the most advanced tire we’ve ever designed. Built on the premise of a super light tire that was strong enough for the toughest street riders on the team, the Mirage uses a high-performance 120tpi casing and a specially designed dual compound tread that is smooth in the center, but with plenty of grip on the outer tread for traction and control whilst cornering and carving. We used a unique 20.5mm plain gauge cross tube on the Morrow Bar to prevent against the twisting that a larger 10? bar can come under especially with Ty’s powerful riding style. Trails nowadays are nothing like they used to be, very little pedaling and/or braking and the dirt is usually rock hard, it doesn’t make sense to mimic MX tires (that have to accelerate, brake and turn in soft dirt) with big knobs anymore and BF rides a mix of everything, so his tire needs to work well on everything. That lead to giving the FT1 a relatively smooth center section, to make the tire fast. Turning is when an increase in grip (instead of outright speed) is needed, lean the bike over in a turn and the micro-knobs come into play. The micro-knobs provide a perfect balance of surface area, stability and space in between for when the dirt might be a little soft still. The micro-knobs actually stick up above the main surface a super small amount, this allows them to sink into that slightly soft dirt and give an increase in surface area contact, but the amount they are raised doesn’t negatively affect stability or grip on hard surfaces. At the edges of the tread pattern are smooth tread blocks that help protect the sidewall on ramps and street.
